Old Newton Mearns

This varied selection of pictures illustrates many aspects of Newton Mearns that have now been lost for good, including the old village Main Street (which stood on the site of the modern shopping centre), Andersons garage, the Newton Inn and Hazelden print works. The authors have been able to draw upon excellent photographs taken by the late John Crawford and James Anderson, and have written informative captions to accompany them. Mearnskirk and Loganswell are included too.
