Old Busby

Busby History Group have put together an attractive and interesting selection of photographs featuring many shops, businesses and personalities of Busby from years gone by. The history of the mills (powered by the White Cart Water), which brought industry and prosperity to the district, is also covered, along with that of the railway and local school and churches. Much-loved institutions such as Equis' Cafe and Ian Craig's grocery feature alongside pictures of the Sheddens, Bonnyton cottages and groups of participants in Busby Gala Days of the 1950s.
