Old Turriff

Alan Cooper has written several books for us over the past few years and his captions for Old Turriff are typically full and informative. Among the subjects featured are several pictures of the station, plus High Street, Balmellie Street, Main Street, Chapel Street and Skene Croft. My personal favourites, however, are those of the Turra Coo, forcibly sold as a result of a farmer's protest over National Insurance and then later triumphantly returned to him having been bought back by his supporters.
