Old Gorgie

Old Gorgie covers the area from Ardmillan westwards to Stenhouse Mansion, including the side streets between Gorgie Road and Slateford Road. McLeod Street steamie, the Tivoli cinema, Cox's glue works, the Scottish National Exhibition in Saughton Park and the Royal Train at Gorgie sidings are some of the subjects featured. Coverage of local works and industries is good, whilst schools, class photos, the Salvation Army band, trams and a picture of Hearts v Motherwell in 1954 complete the picture.
