Old Lockerbie and Lochmaben
Pictures of Lockerbie show it in the days when the main road from Glasgow to Carlisle still passed through the town and before the King's Arms had a major revamp that completely changed its appearance. A yeomanry camp at Scroggs in 1919, the impressive Jardine Hall (demolished in 1964), a prize-winning bull from a local farm and an early Home Rule demonstration held in front of the town hall are a few of the other items featured. Lochmaben is covered too, while pictures of the satellite villages of Applegarth, Sibbaldbie, Templand, Kettleholm, Boreland, Hightae, Bankshill and Dalton have also been included.
