Old Kilwinning

Kilwinning's shops, traders and pubs are well represented in this book, with pictures of the interior of the Market Bar, the Pierottis' fish and chip shop, Crawford's bakehouse, the Winton Arms Hotel and a well-stocked horse-drawn cart belonging to Kilwinning Co-op. The Eglinton ironworks, Dirran's sawmill and Sevenacres grain mill represent local employers, while the ironworks' flute band and 1922-23 line-up of Kilwinning Athletic FC show that it wasn't all work in Old Kilwinning.
