Centipedes of the British Isles
Centipedes are many-legged arthropods with a leathery exoskeleton and a pair of legs on each of the trunk segments, which vary in number from 15 to 101 in British species. Millipedes have rigid exoskeletons and two pairs of legs on each trunk segment.
E H Eason's work was published in 1964, and has long been out of print. Though some of the nomenclature has changed, this book of descriptions, illustrations and distribution data remains invaluable, and is faithfully reproduced here in electronic format on CD.
The CD is suitable for Windows PCs and Macs, and has fully searchable text and hyperlinks for ease of navigation.
The quality of reproduction of illustrations and text is excellent. The book includes 495 line illustrations.
