AIDGAP: A key to the Woodlice of Britain and Ireland
A fully-illustrated, AIDGAP-tested key is provided to the 37 species of woodlice (Crustacea: Isopoda, Oniscidea) now known to be native or naturalised in Britain and Ireland. Glasshouse aliens that cannot breed here in the wild have been excluded. Colour plates support detailed line drawings and the confirmatory descriptions of each species include notes on distribution and natural history. Details are given of the Isopod Recording Scheme and it is hoped that this user-friendly key will stimulate more people to identify woodlice, contribute records, and increase our knowledge of these widespread and interesting animals.
