This fully illustrated AIGGAP guide should enable most beginners to identify the adults of most British bugs (Hemiptera) to family level. The guide is limited to what can be achieved by examining unprepared specimens at low magnification (up to x50), as the scale insects (Coccoidea) and aphids (Aphidoidea) require more sophisticated techniques they are beyond the scope of this guide. However, lists of the characteristics of the main aphid families are given.
