The Leaf Miners of Warwickshire
As far as I am aware this is the only publication in the UK that covers all leaf mining orders of insects. Although the book is a records of leaf mines in Warwickshire, the book will prove very useful to all entomologists interested in the leaf mining insects. The most useful part of the book are the sections given to description of the mines. These are listed by plant species and all recorded mines (in Warwickshire) are listed and described. One simply looks up the plant species a mine has been found on and looks through the list and descriptions to try and match up the mine with a species of miner. The mines are not illustrated but the descriptions should be enough to confirm species. A book I personally use every year on my "mining" expeditions. The book covers Coleoptera, Lepidoptera, Diptera and Hymenoptera.
