Previously issued under the title 'Illustrated Flora of Britain & N Europe' - this long unavailable work is now back in a reprinted edition, with minor corrections; covers good percentage of species encountered north-west of the Alps and north of the Mediterranean regions (not including grasses, sedges, ferns etc.). Illustrated in the left-hand margin of the description page are details of the flower, leaf, stem, fruit or seed, and variations in colour - with fuller pictures on the colour plate which forms the facing page.

Over 2,400 plants are illustrated in some 7000 wonderful colour illustrations by Marjorie Blamey.
