Brambles of the British Isles
This is an account of those brambles found growing wild in the British Isles. It is not, however, a complete record of the genus Rubus in these islands, but rather a further milestone on the road to that elusive but desirable destination. Had we in the course of our studies described as a new species every local additional taxon of distinct appearance encountered in the field the present total of 300+ different scientific names might easily have been increased to 500 or more
