A Key to the British Freshwater Cyclopid and Calanoid Copepods

This key is aimed at helping the non-specialist identify the free-living species of copepods found in British fresh and brackish waters. Because of the similar nature of many of the species and the variable characteristics the main part of the key is done as a formula (or table key) rather than a standard dichotomous key. Aspects of the morphology are highlighted by line drawings of key parts and there is a short section on their distribution and ecology.
