Frodsham and Helsby

This collection of over 200 old photographs of Frodsham and the nearby community of Helsby has been selected from the extensive archives of the Frodsham and District Local History Group. Members of the group have added carefully researched captions to the images so they form a fascinating and invaluable record of life and times in this area over the last century.Although Frodsham's history can be traced back more than two thousand years, it still retains the character of a market town with the magnificent tree lined Main Street and nearby Castle Park adding to this atmosphere. The old images contained in this book will bring back memories and introduce new arrivals and a younger generation to an age which has only recently passed into history.
