Metal Mines of North Wales

The mineral wealth of north Wales has been exploited since prehistoric times. Mines of lead, zinc, copper, gold, manganese and iron have all been worked at one time or another, but today only a few are still in operation. This book records these industries through the eye of the artist and the lens of the camera — many of the pictures have not previously been published. Each of the 105 pictures is supported by a detailed caption providing the background information and, where relevent, map references.
