Old Carnoustie

Golf and the seaside are Carnoustie's best known features and both fill several pages of this book. Sandcastle building, the giant slide, the paddling pool and model railway recall memories of seaside holidays, as do the pierrots in their clownish costumes. Elsewhere holidaymakers enjoy a concert at the Links bandstand or a round on the putting green. East Haven and West Haven have been included too, along with pictures showing the military camps at Barry and Buddon. The High Street, Lovers' Loan, Dundee Street and members of local football and bowls teams are among the other pictures featured.
