Tatted Animals

In May 2002 I was told that I was to be a grandmother for the first time. This gave an idea to design and tat different animals that could be sewn onto a quilted blanket. My thought was that each animal should be connected to a childrens song, a rhyme or a fairytale.I made 12 different animals.In this book I have chosen to present the animals in alphabetical order. Each animal comes with a photo and a pattern. At the beginning of the book I have included a description of the techniques I have used in the patterns.I hope you will enjoy tatting the animals as much as I had designing them.Perhaps you will end up designing and tatting your own animals. REMEMBER - the possibilities for using tatting are innumerable.
