Royal Doulton (Shire)

Royal Doulton is the world's largest manufacturer and distributor in the premium ceramic tableware and giftware market. Probably best known for figures, Royal Doulton also produces Character and Toby jugs, decorative wall plates, nurseryware and animal studies. Founded in 1815 in Lambeth by John Doulton, under his son, Sir Henry Doulton, the firm became the foremost manufacturer of drainpipes and sanitary ware in Victorian times.
